“Through the Eyes of the Artist: An Art Show with a “Twist”
This Art Show with a “twist” will feature works by artists 18 & over. Artists will choose a piece (open medium) based on what they consider to be either their best work; most creative; most emotionally charged, etc. That piece WILL be displayed for viewing and judging by juror, Beth C. McLaughlin, Chief Curator of Exhibitions and Collections at Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, Massachusetts.
For over 25 years, Ms. McLaughlin has held leadership and curatorial positions at cultural institutions across the U.S., including Fuller Craft Museum, The Oakland Museum of California, DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, and Attleboro Arts Museum. She has curated over 40 exhibitions and has served as a juror/adjudicator for a number of cultural organizations including the American Craft Council, Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Tennessee Arts Commission, the Duxbury Art Association, Providence Holiday Art Sale, and the City of Worcester.
Entries will be received digitally. (Entry fee $15) Monetary Prizes will be awarded to First ($1,000), Second ($500) and Third ($250) Place Winners. Formal Opening June 21, 2019. Show coincides with Legacy Art/Music/Food/Fun Festival on June 23, 2019, and is sponsored by the Easton Shovel Town Cultural District.
