On Tuesday, February 28th, Brockton Poetry Series welcomes Evander Wilson!
Evander Wilson is a teaching artist from Providence, Rhode Island. They represented the Providence Poetry Slam at the 2015 Brave New Voices International Poetry Slam and Festival, and was a coach for the 2016 and 2017 teams. Their work explores their experiences with gender, sexuality, religion, and mental illness. They have been been a featured poet, given lectures, and facilitated workshops and discussions at universities, slam venues, high schools, and community organizations around New England. When Evander isn’t writing, teaching, or performing, you can find them sipping on a cup of black coffee, or gazing dreamily at a bowl of mac and cheese.
