We began hosting the DOWNTOWN BROCKTON ARTS AND MUSIC FESTIVAL in the twin Salisbury Brook and Finnegan Parks on the corner of Crescent Street and Montello Street on the last Saturday in August beginning in 2010.  A wonderful day of food, music, artwork, craft vendors, and children’s activities…  We grew every year, beginning in 2010 with a modest but enthusiastic audience of about 350 guests and culminating in 2016’s festival’s 2500+ guests over three days following our move to our new home in the Stacy Adams Cultural Arts Building on Dover Street.

This year Brockton Arts is celebrating our second anniversary in our new home in the Stacy Adams Cultural Arts Building on Dover Street, using the opportunity to once again grow DBAMFEST2017.  DBAMFEST will be staged in the Stacy Adams Cultural Arts Building, it’s parking lot, and other venues downtown over the last weekend in August.  The Festival begins with an Open House in Gallery Thirty Three on Friday afternoon August 25th and will finish with a Drummers Circle and Musical Jam Session in the Gallery late Sunday evening August 27th.

In between there will be an Artist’s Reception and musical performances Friday evening, hip hop and old timey rock and roll picnic parties Saturday afternoon in two venues with live DJs and live bands, live musical performances Saturday evening in two venues, and the Brockton Symphony Brass Quintet performing Sunday afternoon in Gallery Thirty Three.

The Stacy Adams Cultural Arts Building will be holding open Studios over the period of the festival as well as hosting an indoor vendors mall.

Mark your calendars… We are looking forward to a wonderful time…

Please come out and play with us…
