Please join us for the opening reception of “Something’s in the Water” on Friday April 7th.
This collaborative event will include music by Gus Agudelo and presentations on seagrass habitats by marine ecologist Alyssa Novak. “Something’s in the Water” is about the ambiguous space between the recognizable and unrecognizable. Something appears so real and familiar you are convinced it is one thing, yet you are not sure if you can trust your vision or your sense of reality. My new paintings explore seagrass habitats in relation to the absurdities we face with our current political and cultural environment.
